What you need:

  • Two or three gift items graduated in size to stacked atop each other
  • Printed wrapping paper
  • Ribbon and/or bow
  • Twist tie
  • Clear tape
  • Glue gun

This tall, sleek gift will set your gift-wrapping technique apart from everyone else if they dare to set their gift on the table next to yours. Best of all, it will keep everyone asking, "What's inside?"

There are various products you can select to create this pyramid-shaped gift which include:

  • Boxed puzzles
  • Boxed chocolates
  • Tea cups and saucers
  • Mugs
  • Stationery
  • Soups
  • Tea or coffee
  • Picture frames
  • Items within the above gift wrap are, from the top, cookies, mixed nuts, rum cake, and a decorative container with side cutout handles for easy carrying. The container is upside down to make the stacking process quick and easy.

Beads of glue from a glue gun keep all items stacked securely together, or you can roll two-inch pieces of tape and place them between each item.

Roll your wrapping paper on the table, face down. Make sure you allow for extra wrapping paper to be gathered at the top above the bow.

You may have to cut some of the wrapping paper from each side of the gift, as there may be too much paper to fold properly. Cut it diagonally to match the gift's width. Close the wrapping paper on each side with clear tape.

When the gift is wrapped, use a twist tie to hold the paper in place at the top while you attach a handmade or pull bow.

It's easy to add additionally ribbon on each side of your pyramid-shaped gift. Wired ribbon is preferred to give the ribbon a wavy appearance along the gift's vertical sides.

Cut a long piece of ribbon, about 20 inches long or whatever length is required. Measure the ribbon to find its center. Then tie it once around the gift's "neck," the same place where the bow is added. Use your hands to fashion the ribbon into a wavy appearance.

Once you're satisfied with the look, attach the ribbon on the sides by fusing it with beads of glue from the glue gun.

Take a final look at your masterpiece, and give yourself a pat on the back before presenting it to the receiver.
